What are we looking for?
An experienced Business Manager with knowledge on People Management, Project Management, Quality Assurance and Business Continuity to join the Placeit Content team.


What would I work on specifically?
You will partner up with the Creative Manager to lead the administrative part of the assigned Business Unit. You will be managing a content creative team from an operational point of view, you will be responsible for the completion of the assigned work plan and its quality as well as responsible for the team administrative tasks and people growth.

What general skills do I need to perform well in this position?

You need to know how to:

Job Description

Who will I be reporting to?

You will be reporting to the Content Director.


What does your process look like?
You will be working everyday with a content team, you’ll be partnering up with the Creative Director to comply with the content production plan. You both will be in charge of the following tasks:

  • Work assessment: Both review Planned work to determine size, complexity, required resources, required skills or expertise level, etc.

  • Work assignment and planning: Both work on the assignment of work to Team Members and to define the production calendar.

  • Creative Director does daily checks on design, Business Manager does daily checks on progress/process.

  • In charge of Process Innovation.

  • Creative Director delivers design and client briefs Business Manager, who then assigns them to each person. Creative Director might want to assign special tracks to specific employees because of their skills or style.


Your main tasks on a daily basis will be focusing on performance review, feedback, coaching, development and grow, conflict resolution within the team, recruiting follow up with the Talent Acquisition team, Project Management follow up, Project Planning, Quality Assurance and Business Continuity.


How’s the work/life balance there?

We have a flexible schedule since we are an output oriented company, but normal business hours are from 9 am to 6 pm.

We generally keep an “adult policy” over these things. The idea is that you’re responsible and we’re not going to babysit you. We don’t really focus on the hours you spend in the office. Our focus is mostly on how effective and efficient you are.


Can I work remotely?
We’re generally not considering remote workers at this point. We ideally want you to be here in our GDL office.

About Placeit in Envato Mexico

We started as an agency, called Freshout in 2008. We developed new products for companies such as Linkedin, Telefonica, eBay. The salary range for this position would be between $30,000.00 and $40,000.00 MXN Gross.
