Purpose:

This position analyzes content demand and customer behavior to guide Marketing and Production teams. Transform data into valuable information to the company. Design and build detailed SEO/PPC/SEM strategy reports to assist the company in making informed business decisions.

What technical skills do I need to perform well in this position?

  • 3+ years of experience with statistical analysis, applying predictive modeling.

  • 3+ years of experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL), and statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab).

  • Experience with statistical modeling.

  • Deep understanding and use of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.

  • Understanding of various digital marketing channels and corresponding KPI’s (SEO, SEM).

  • In-depth knowledge of keyword research and competitor analysis.

  • Expert in with Relational Databases Systems, Excel, and SQL

What are the required baseline technical skills for all levels of engineers there?

  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports to Content Demand and Product Management.

  • Design and definition of databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.

  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.

  • Segment, model and understand customer behavior.

  • Design data structures used for statistical modeling.

  • Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for model development, validation and implementation.

  • Development and implementation of Tableau, Google Data Studio, Google Cloud, SQL Database creation/Modification solutions.

  • Provide insights around SEO, site search and filtering best practices.

  • Translate Business requirements into detailed specifications for products. 

  • Create, manage, and optimize PPC campaigns aligned to our business' objectives.

  • Apply risk analysis methods to evaluate business decisions.

Marketing Analyst

How’s the work/life balance there?

Most analysts  are here between 9am to 6pm although some come earlier and leave a bit earlier. Some days they stay later and some days they leave earlier.

We generally keep an “adult policy” over these things. The idea is that you’re responsible and we’re not going to babysit you. We don’t really focus on the hours you spend in the office. Our focus is mostly on how efficient you are.

We’re flexible for people that want to start work earlier and leave earlier as well.

Can I work remotely?

We’re generally not considering remote workers at this point. We ideally want you to be here in our GDL office.

Will you pay for my relocation?

Yes.

Do you guys help with my paperwork if I’m not a Mexican citizen?

Yes!

What language do you guys use inside the office?

We tend to go between Spanish and English quite a bit but if you only speak English, that’s ok too.
