Position title: SEO Content Specialist

Reports to: Tuts+ Manager - Envato Australia


The SEO Content Specialist is responsible for developing, optimising and maintaining Envato Tuts+ Spanish content marketing assets, to ensure they remain relevant to Google and our customer base. Reporting to the Tuts+ Manager, they will work closely with our Tuts+ Translation team, Tuts+ Manager and editorial teams to ensure that our translated content is well positioned to drive value. They will be required to conduct keyword research, make hands-on changes to the copy of the content, and circle back consistently to ensure that the content remains relevant and up-to-date and be a key player in shaping the approach we take to Spanish content moving forward.

Job Description

Key Functions

  • Optimise Envato’s existing backlog of spanish content for Google

  • Conduct keyword research relevant to our content.

  • Ensure the most appropriate keywords are utilised within our content to maximise the ability of the content to rank and refer traffic to our ecosystem.

  • Diagnose SEO issues with our Spanish content and both make and propose changes to resolve them.

  • Assist our translations team by making recommendations as to which keyword categories we should translate and commission content for.

  • Provide regular insights on the performance of Envato’s Spanish content performance, along with suggestions for how the content marketing team could improve performance.

  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, particularly the Editorial, SEO and translation teams.

Required Skills

  • A minimum of 2 years of SEO content experience, preferably in a commercial setting.

  • Experience with Keyword research tools, eg: SEMrush, Moz Keyword Explorer and Ahrefs.

  • Bilingual. Must be a fluent speaker in both English and Spanish.

  • Ability to write copy for the web with a strong focus on ensuring it ranks in Google.

  • Strong understanding of content marketing SEO principles.

  • Experience using data to lead decision making. Must be proficient in Google Analytics .

  • Ability to work to varied deadlines and flexible in responding to urgent business needs.
